OPA! is a web platform managed and owned by Ando Glaso a charity dedicated to empowering the Roma community through advancing cultural heritage as a context to enhancing equality and integration while proactively fostering our national inclusive identity. (SC050416)

This document explains how we use the data you submit through OPA!.

What data is collected?

OPA! collects the following data:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Information about your art, music, etc practice when you apply to be able to create artists on the platform.
  • Details of the Artists, Albums, Tracks and Tutorial you add to the platform
  • The PayPal transaction ID and dates of any memberships you purchase on the platform.

    Note that we collect no personal financial details from you.

In addition, we use Google Analytics to collect anonymous data about how you use the site: what pages you visit, when, etc. We anonymise your IP address so it cannot be identified.

How do we collect your data?

Apart from browsing data collected by Google Analytics, most of the above data is collected when you submit it through the site.

  • Creating an account on the site
  • Requesting to be able to add Artists
  • Adding Artists, Tutorials, Albums and Tracks to the site

The exception is when you purchase a membership. We receive the transaction ID from PayPal in order to allow us to manage your membership. We also collect the date of the transaction.

How will we use your data?

OPA! collects this data in order to:

  • Ensure the website is working correctly
  • Notify about your account on the site, such as when you sign up, request a new password, request to be able to add artists, or release an album or tutorial.

How do we store your data?

OPA! securely stores your data within a password-protected database hosted within the European Union. Access to the database is restricted to the OPA! technical team.

OPA! will retain this data for the time that the website is live. Should OPA! cease to operate we will destroy your data and the database in which it is stored.

Contacting You

OPA! will sometimes need to contact you via email to notify you about the status of your account for the reasons described above.

You have the right at any time to stop OPA! emailing you at any time. If you delete your account, all data about yourself and any Artists, Albums, Tracks and Tutorials will deleted from our database.

What are your data protection rights?

OPA! wist to make you fully aware of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access: You have the right to request OPA! for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
  • The right to rectification: You have the right to request that OPA! correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request OPA! corrects the information you believe is incomplete.
  • The right to erasure: You have the right to request that OPA! erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to restrict processing: You have the right to request that OPA! restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to object to processing: You have the right to object to OPA!'s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
  • The right to data portability: You have the right to request that OPA transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
